Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Pork
  • 1 onion, medium-sized, finely chopped
  • 1 Garlic clove, minced
  • 7.5 oz Tomato Sauce
  • 2 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1/4 tsp Crushed Red pepper flakes
  • 8 Taco shells

Optional - Instead of spices, you can use a 1.25 oz package of  taco seasonings.

Directions

  1. Cook ground pork over medium heat until brown.
  2. Pour off excess fat and add onion and garlic.  Cook until tender.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce and seasonings.
  4. Simmer 5-10 minutes (add water if necesary)
  5. Spoon some of the meat mixture into each taco shell and serve with your favourite toppings.

Topping suggestions:  Grated Cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, chopped green onions, sour cream, salsa, guacamole.
